The hustle, and bustle of city life can get pretty stressful at times, and as much as possible, one would want to escape this hustle, and bustle stress, by going on a vacation, typically out of town, or even out of the country. The trouble is, doing so can get pretty expensive, most especially if the vacation trip is out of the country. Want to escape from the hustle, and bustle of the stressful city lifestyle you are now living, but don't want to spend so much by going out of town, or out of the country to obtain such an escape? Well, have I got great news for you! Nestled within the Eastwood City district, is the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, a five-star hotel, located in Eastwood, Libis, Quezon City. This hotel provides excellent quality service, with excellent amenities to boot. This is all thanks to the friendly, and accommodating staff you won't find anywhere else. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were greeted with a very warm welcome by the doormen/security guards. We then approached the Front Desk of the hotel, and the staff greeted us with a smile, immediately giving us the sense of the hotel's excellent hospitality. When we checked-in, the staff were very friendly. The Front Office Associate who assisted us, made sure that all of our needs were met, and the check-in process was fast, and efficient. I did bring up the issue on the late sending of my confirmation letter, and the Front Office Associate took the initiative to immediately forward my concern to the respective department. However, upon checking my email upon check-in, the confirmation email had not yet replied. It was only upon check-out, where I followed-up again with my concern regarding the confirmation letter, that I received the email when I arrived back home. But enough about that. Onwards to my main points. My friend, and I were finally checked-in, around five minutes after we arrived at the hotel, and approached the Front Desk. We went to the elevator, located to our left of the Front Desk, and we were immediately asked by one of the bellmen on-duty if we needed any assistance with our bags. We respectfully declined since my friend, and I were only carrying two bags each (one for our clothes, and the other, for our shoes). Upon arriving at our room on the 29th floor, we were impressed by how neatly the room was laid-out, and prepared for our arrival. The main attraction however, or as is standard with any hotel room, was the presence of the intricately-prepared king-sized bed. The mitering (a process of folding-in the bedsheet on the corners of the bed to allow for neatness) on the bed was properly done. Another added feature of the hotel room, was the presence of a bathtub (something I always look for in any hotel room, to be honest). It's like having your own swimming pool, in the privacy of your own room. The room that we stayed in was the Superior Room. It came with amenities, and facilities, such as a bathtub in the room, Duvet-type bed linen, and setup. It came with inclusions, such as complimentary buffet breakfast, and complimentary use of the facilities of the sports club (gym, pool, and sauna). All of this for a very affordable rate of PHP6,300 for two persons. Upon arriving at our room, my friend, and I relaxed, and got settled-in for a bit. Shortly after, we got changed into our swimming attire. We then left our room, and made our way to the top floor of the hotel, which was where the sports club, and swimming pool were located, via one of the hotel's elevators. The swimming pool was pretty small, although with that being said, it was a lap pool, but was only approximately 25 metres in length, primarily because of the size of the floorplan of the hotel. With that being said, it was great that the hotel had a lap pool, for us to be able to refresh our skills in swimming. What was not as great however, was that the pool was only four-feet deep at one half, and five-feet deep at the other half, although it was a thing that would easily be dismissed by any of the hotel's guests, because of the pool's limited size, and length. The Buffet Breakfast was served to us at the Eastwood Cafe, located at the ground floor of the hotel. They had a wide selection of breakfast items, from pancakes, to noodles, to cold cuts, salads, and also, freshly-baked breads and pastries, such as Croissants. After breakfast, my friend, and I went back upstairs to our room to rest for a while. It was there where we decided to go back to the hotel's sports club to go for another quick swim before check-out. So, we did. After that, we went back to our room to shower, and change, and to pack our things, ready for check-out. We checked-out at 12:00-noon, which is the standard check-out time for any hotel. We filled-out the guest comment card upon check-out, and stated the hotel's upsides, and downsides in terms of their services, their amenities, and their facilities. Overall, our stay at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel was excellent. I would definitely return to check-in, either for business, or for leisure. Lastly, one of the other great things about the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, is that the hotel is within walking distance of the Eastwood Mall Complex. My friend, and I decided to have dinner at the nearby Project Pie branch, and then went out for a Night Cap at Rue Bourbon to sample some of their famous, and best-selling Caramel Beer. Eastwood Richmonde Hotel, a place where business meets pleasure. Rating: 9/10 Eastwood Richmonde Hotel
